It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, there’s a chill in the air, festive lights are twinkling everywhere and it’s almost time for the Waterford Homecrafts Christmas Craft Fair. The Garter Lane Arts Centre on O’Connell Street, Waterford, opens its doors to the Waterford Homecrafts 33rd Christmas Craft Fair on Friday 25th November.  Waterford’s longest running Christmas Craft Fair will run for 27 days during the premier Winterval Christmas Festival, up to the 23rd December closing only on Monday 28th November and 5th December.

The Waterford Homecrafts co-op has brought together over 40 local craftspeople to showcase some of the finest quality products currently available anywhere in Ireland. The Homecrafts members range from the hobby craft person lovingly creating at the kitchen table, to the full time craft person honing their talents into a fulltime career. They have been busy designing and creating for the past few months getting their products ready and many of these hand crafted products are exclusive only to the Waterford Homecrafts Christmas Craft Fair.

This annual Christmas Craft Fair has become a significant part of Christmas in Waterford with many local people believing that the festive season begins with a visit to the Waterford Homecrafts Craft Fair in Garter Lane. This splendid annual event is completely organised and run by a core volunteer committee. The co-op is passionate about quality crafts and providing an exclusive annual event showcasing the wonderful talent that Waterford, the South East and Ireland has to offer.

The excellent selection of products available at the Christmas Craft Fair in the Garter Lane Arts Centre ranges from delicious home baked cakes to hand cut silver jewellery, exotic Walnut and Irish ash wood skate boards to quirky hand painted ceramic bowls, handwoven rainbow wool rugs to hand stitched leather handbags, hand crochet cuddly mice to aromatic festive wreaths and much more.

Entering under the archway at the Garter Lane Arts Centre and into the historic building, you will clearly see why the Waterford Homecrafts Co-op has continued to host such a magical and fabulous annual event for the past 32 years. The superb range of high quality products available makes the Waterford Homecrafts Christmas Craft Fair a must see during your visit to the Winterval festival. Open from 10 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Saturday and 12 noon to 5.30 pm on Sunday’s, there will be ample time for customers to browse, shop and revisit at their leisure in a warm relaxing venue.

The Craft Fair will be officially opened on Friday 25th November at 11.30 am with 10% off all purchases, available on the opening day only.
